Enerstena team has been trusted to deliver 5 MW turnkey process steam plant to Avena Kantvik Oy rapeseed oil production facility in Kirkkonummi, Finland.

The biosteam energy plant will enable Avena to utilize its vegetable oil production side streams, such as rapeseed screenings, vegetable oil sludge etc. in a mixture with forest waste and recycled wood fuels, thereby contributing to energy independency, carbon neutrality and plant’s circular economy.

On 6th November the ENERSTENA signed a contract with the Swedish company Bioendev Solution AB for the engineering of the torrefication technology of the biomass. The use of torrefied biomass is applicable to the direct conversion of coal and liquid fossil fuels to a variety of industries, including power generation, asphalt, steel industry, etc.
