On 6^th November the ENERSTENA signed a contract with the Swedish company Bioendev Solution AB for the engineering of the torrefication technology of the biomass. The use of torrefied biomass is applicable to the direct conversion of coal and liquid fossil fuels to a variety of industries, including power generation, asphalt, steel industry, etc. 

Addressing world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda ensured Lithuania's full support for the transition to renewable energy. The President highlighted Lithuania's success in the district heating (DH) sector replacing natural gas with Bioenergy, which allowed not only significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions, but also to reduce heat prices in Lithuania.

On 30 July 2019, corporate group ENERSTENA signed the second contract with customers from the Netherlands. For customer De Warmtebron B. V., we will install a 10 MW biofuel-driven water-heating boiler-house. The scope of works of the ENERSTENA corporate group includes the technological system design, equipment production and supply, electrical engineering and automation as well as start-up and commissioning. The boiler-house will have a water-heating boiler with a capacity of 8 MW, a biofuel furnace and a condensation economizer with a capacity of 3 MW.
